Future multimedia titles will provide many ways to interact with the
presented information. When creating an interactive multimedia
title, the author has to specify the temporal layout and the
interaction elements. However, this part of the authoring process is
not trivial as the temporal layout and the interaction forms are not
independent because some interaction forms affect the presentation
schedule of the title. This paper identifies various temporal
interaction forms and their temporal dependencies, an integrated
model for time and interaction is proposed, and we show how this
model is applied to ease rapid authoring of multimedia titles.
